As of Tuesday afternoon, we are looking at an inch or snow on some firm base. ADK's Cascade Welcome Center has opened half their trail to skiing, but the cover is thin with no set track. Areas to the south including Boreas and Newcomb are reported to be quite good, and skied by many over the past weekend.
Looking ahead, we are again expecting some mixed precipitation on Thursday that will grade to rain for a while on Friday. Nothing that will reduce the base we have, but what skiing surfaces will remain is the question. Unfortunately, the longer range predictions for again warm weather next week. So, get out and ski Wednesday or Thursday, and then just sit back an hope for the best.
