History with BETA: While I haven’t been with BETA long, I believe in it enough to move across the country to become part of this organization and this community.
Favorite trail: I’m still finding my way around, on bike, skis and foot. So, if you see me on the trail feel free to stop and chat and suggest the next great trail I should visit. Favorite season: After long, dreary winters in western Washington State I’m happy with any season as long as the sun doesn’t disappear for months. |

History with BETA: Long-time supporter, first-time community member. I’ve followed BETA’s progress and seen its impact for years; I’m excited to finally join in on all fronts.
Favorite trail: Alas, I have no favorites yet – I’m still getting my bearings. Historically, my favorite trails have always been the ones I developed the deepest connection with through familiarity and service even if they weren't particularly fun or interesting. I’ll cast my vote for favorite in a year or so. Favorite season: While I enjoy every season for what they uniquely offer, Fall has my heart. The sweet, buttery smell of decay, crisp mornings, and the peace left behind after biting insects have shoved off just cannot be beat in my opinion. |

History with BETA: I was immediately inspired to join BETA as a volunteer back in 2010 when I first heard of its formation. I've enjoyed being a part of the organization ever since and have enjoyed the opportunity to work as an employee with a focus on trail building and stewardship since 2018.
Favorite trail: When on skis or my bike, I'm often with my dog and I tend to prefer the solitude of our less refined trails that lie in the wilderness. As a builder, I enjoy the relationship I have with the trails that were the most challenging to get built. The harder we have to work, whether during advocacy or an arduous build, the deeper the appreciation I have for its completion. Favorite season: I love the change that Spring and Fall bring. I'm always excited for that first ride or ski of the season! |

History with Beta: I joined the BETA trail crew in 2019. After pursuing other trail building opportunities, I was drawn back to BETA to be more directly connected to the community.
Favorite trail: California. It gives me an overwhelming sense of home. Favorite season: There is something to love about every season in the Adirondacks. |
