TRAIL BETA
About 2 miles of single track were built here in 2019 and 2020 to create a small network utilizing the Jackrabbit and other existing trails that have been here for decades. The riding is smooth and fast through a beautiful plantation pine forest, with well-drained sandy soils.
This is a great area for beginners and families, but fun for anyone on two wheels.
The Jackrabbit Ski Trail is marked with yellow DEC ski trail discs. The rest of the trails are not currently marked but should be easy to navigate. BETA will continue to develop this trail network pending approval by the NYSDEC. The goal is to eventually develop this into a 6-7 mile trail network.
e-MTB NOTE: Per Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) regulations for Forest Preserve lands including these trails "Off-road use (including trails, roads, or terrain other than a public road or parking area) of E-bikes is prohibited." While Class 1 e-bikes are allowed on the Adirondack Rail Trail they are not allowed on the Fowler's Crossing trails.
