4/28 Trail conditions update

​Friday already!? We’ve got good news, not-so-good news and some general updates. 

Not-so-good news: Spring continues to toy with our emotions, delivering summer heat followed by temperature dips in the 20’s and 30’s. On top of that, this coming week will bring around 2 inches of rain. Consider these updates a snapshot in time. Conditions are very likely to change after the rain events on deck. Please remember that this time of year is when trails are at their most vulnerable 🙏 

Good News: Pisgah is 💯% open. Get it while it’s good. Lake Placid folk, rejoice- Lussi land is cleared, tacky and ready for you too BUT ⚠️ Please avoid Cinderella Story 4/28 - 5/5. Logging operations are in progress on the trail near the Lake Placid Club driving range trailhead on Rte 86. REMINDER that all Lussi Trails are on private land and access is a privilege. #ridewithgratitude 

⚠️ Fowlers parking at Route 86 is closed due to rail trail construction.  We are working with DEC to identify alternative parking and access points for Fowlers trails while the rail trail construction is underway this year.
