DECEMBER 21, 2019
Lake Placid Center for the Arts, Lake Placid
Get psyched for winter and help us raise money to support the work of Barkeater Trails Alliance to advocate for, build and maintain a world-class network of trails for backcountry ski touring and mountain biking in the Adirondack High Peaks region.
Join us at the Lake Placid Center for the Arts for a screening of the new film from Teton Gravity Research - Winterland.
FREE FOR CURRENT BETA MEMBERS
Join at the door to enter, otherwise tickets are $10 at the door (kids 12 and under FREE)
Doors open at 7:00pm
Movie starts promptly at 730pm
**The ski movie screening will immediately follow BETA's Annual Meeting (5pm to 7pm), also held at the LPCA.**
Winterland is a celebration of ski and snowboard culture. Today's mountain athletes can only stand as tall as those who came before, the pirates of the past who followed their own path and passion. This story of adventure is far from over, as a new crop of modern-day pioneers are eager to etch their names in the annals of history. The technology and style might evolve, but the rush, excitement, and pure fun remain eternal, bonding past, present, and future riders. The film will follow these individuals as they leave their own mark on these fabled locations.
Big Slide Brewery will be serving tasty adult beverages including the new BETA Beer. Movie goers can purchase raffle tickets (cash only) in the lobby before the show for a chance to win prizes from local business sponsors.
Huge thanks to our raffle and event sponsors from 2019!
