February 1st, 2026  ||  Social at Monday-Tuesday Grill, Upper Jay
Join us for an evening of casual convo about your latest adventure, enjoy some cozy and delicious fresh-cooked food on the house, and a cool crisp drink from the cash bar at the Monday-Tuesday Grill.  They're opening just for us on Sunday, February 1st from 6pm-8pm.

February 22nd, 2026  ||  Social and Ski at Scott's Cobble Nordic Center, Lake Placid
Stay tuned for details on the optional pre-social group ski.  Hang out at the Clubhouse in the afternoon, exact time TBA.

January 10th, 2026  ||  Backcountry Film Festival at North Country School Performing Arts Center, Lake Placid -- Back for another year, we're hosting Winter Wildland Alliance's Backcountry Film Festival, a collection of fresh films that highlight the beauty, thrill, and value of human-powered winter recreation.  
​December 6th, 2025  ||  The Mountaineer's Backcountry Ski Kickoff -- The Mountaineer's classic annual Backcountry Ski Kickoff Party at the beautiful theater at North Country School/Camp Treetops. Join for a night of rising stoke for the season.
October 25th, 2025  ||  East Branch Community Trails -- New Trails Opening -- Check out the two new trails at East Branch Community Trails in Keene and stop by our table at the trailhead to tell us all about it and grab a hotdog.
October 3rd-5th, 2025  ||  UCI World Series, Mt. Van Hoevenberg, Lake Placid & Whiteface Mtn, Wilmington -- UCI World Series returns to the region for both cross-country and downhill races.  Catch world class downhill races at Wilmington's Whiteface Mountain on Saturday and cross-country faces at Mt. Van Hoevenberg in Lake Placid on Sunday.  
October 3rd, 6:00pm-7:30pm  ||  BETA Community Bike Jam, Lake Placid Oval -- Fun, free, and kid-friendly -- this Friday evening event in downtown Lake Placid has something for everyone.  Don't miss the return of KRUSHER BMX stunt team, FOGO Azul roving live music, a kid-friendly feature park, and local bike shops in attendance. Stop by the BETA table to chat about the UCI MTB World Series and our local trails.
September 20th, 9-11am  ||  Volunteer Work Party, Mountain Lane, Lake Placid -- This workday is sponsored by The Reynolds Group of Lake Placid. That's right, skiing season is right around the corner so it's high time we get to cracking on our next big touring trail project: a reroute of the Jackrabbit to move it off of Mountain Lane.  Make way for the new trail!! 
September 13th, 9am-3pm(ish)  ||  Volunteer Work Party, Blueberry Hill, Elizabethtown -- Have you seen the new climbing trail, Deerleg?  Now's your chance to see it and we know that you'll dig it!  Get it?  Because...we'll be digging trail?
August 29th - 31st, 2025  ||  BETA's Wilmington Mountain Bike Festival
This is always our biggest event of the year and we're so stoked to offer multiple days of group rides, music, good eats, and great company all in support of the trails.
​August 25th, 2025  ||  Volunteer Trail Work Party, ​Dewey Mtn, Saranac Lake sponsored by Bike Adirondacks -- ​Take pride in where we ride!  This workday is sponsored by Bike Adirondacks.
August 12th, 2025  ||  Slow Your Roll Ride + Grill and Chill, Cobble Hill, Elizabethtown -- Mellow paced no-drop group ride intended for slow, out of shape, and/or beginner riders followed by a hang out sesh around the fire pit at the Elizabethtown Trail Center.  Bring something to throw on the grill if you'd like.​​

Craig Wood, Lake Placid -- The Lake Placid Outing Club (LPOC) and Barkeater Trails Alliance (BETA) are teaming up to bring kids in LPOC and their families out for a volunteer trail work party at Craig Wood, Lake Placid. 
August 17th, 20205  ||  SLICK Youth Volunteer Trail Work Party 
Mt. Pisgah, Saranac Lake -- Saranac Lake Innovative Cycling Kids (SLICK) and Barkeater Trails Alliance (BETA) are teaming up to bring kids and their families out for a volunteer trail work party at Mt. Pisgah, Saranac Lake on August 17th from 10am to 12pm.  
August 9th , 2025  ||  Kona Demo Day at Fowler's Crossing hosted by Silver Birch Cycles at 12pm
August 2nd, 2025  ||  Dewey Dubs hosted by Just Ben and friends -- Dewey Dubs is a celebration of music and nature among friends and strangers alike. There will be beginner and advanced group rides starting at the main lodge at 3:00pm and running until 4:30pm.  
July 29th, 2025  ||  Slow Your Roll Ride + Grill and Chill at Fowler's Crossing, Saranac Lake, Sponsored by Silver Birch Cycles -- Mellow paced no-drop group ride intended for slow, out of shape, and/or beginner riders followed by a hang out sesh.  This event is sponsored by Silver Birch Cycles. 
​July 24th, 2025  ||  Volunteer Trail Work Party at Dewey Mtn, Saranac Lake, Sponsored by Silver Birch Cycles -- We'll be giving Dewey some TLC, mostly clearing drainage ditches, lopping branches, trimming roots, and other maintenance needed throughout the network.  This work party is sponsored by Silver Birch Cycles.
July 19th, 2025  ||  Elizabethtown Trail Center Open House -- Stop by the new community-based building and pavillion to support adventures and events within Elizabethtown's extensive trail network, including easy access to Cobble Hill and Blueberry Hill Trails.  S'mores will be provided and there is a group ride at 5:00pm.  
July 12th, 2025  ||   Volunteer Trail Work Day -- Blueberry Hill, Etown -- Take pride in where we ride!  Volunteers have helped build and maintain all of the trails in the BETA network -- join us on July 12th to be a part of that legacy 🌱 We'll be working on the new climbing trail at Blueberry Hill, Elizabethtown. That includes finishing the tread that the machine cleared, naturalizing, and trimming and removing roots.
​July 9th, 2025  ||  1000 Animals Ride -- Take a tour through winding trails and twisted history in and around Lake Placid, starting at Placid Planet and ending the evening with a sizzling dinner at Westshore BBQ.  Registration required; registration closes Monday June 23rd at noon.

June 21st, 2025  ||  Adirondack Rail Trail Community Day, Saranac Lake.  Hosted by the Adirondack Rail Trail Association and Bike Adirondacks.
June 8th, 2025  ||  Whiteface 50/100K mountain bike race. This is hosted by the Adirondack Sports Council.
June 7th, 2025  ||  Celebration at East Branch Community Trails.  Big things are happening in Keene and we're excited to invite everyone who loves these trails to celebrate that progress and our plans for the future. 
May 31st, 2025  ||  First Annual ADK Outdoor Expo hosted by The Station and Silver Birch Cycles in Onchiota.  Find more info on their website.
​May 24th, 2025  ||  First ever Summergrass Music Festival which is a fundraiser for BETA.  Bike in, bike out to Traverse Lodge on the outskirts of Saranac Lake and enjoy a night of free live music and good company.
May 10th, 2025  ||  BETA's ANNUAL MEETING, 5pm-8pm.  Yes, it's back!  After a hiatus that started around the beginning of the pandemic, we are so excited to bring back a night of celebrating the wins and progress of 2024, hearing from our membership on what matters to you moving forward, and gearing up for trail season.
April 5th, 2025  ||  Trivia Night in Saranac Lake, 6pm-8pm.  Put your team together and flex your BETA knowledge related to skiing, biking, our trails, and the people who have been trail blazers in the area.  Don't know much about BETA?  Can't wait to hear your best guesses.  
March 22nd, 2025  || Social at Solace Cycles' new shop in Elizabethtown.  Catch up with friends and check out the new space, including what will one day be a cidery and communal working space.
March 8th, 2025  ||  Social at Monday-Tuesday Grill, 6pm-9pm.  Come chat about the JRR, your latest gear purchase, your next adventure...the list goes on.  Light food provided.
​March 1st, 2025  ||  Saranac Lake 3P -- pedal, paddle, and pole.  An annual race hosted by SL 3P.  BETA will be holding down the fort in the vendor village -- please stop by our table to say hello!
​February 23rd, 2025  ||  Lake Placid Loppet, a race hosted by ORDA at Mt. Van Hoevenberg.
February 15th, 2025  ||  Key Swap Ski through Avalanche Pass -- an intermediate trip for the backcountry skiers among us.  Brace for stunning views over frozen Avalanche Lake.  
February 7th - 9th, 2025  ||  The Mountaineer's annual Mountainfest
January 25th, 2025  ||  Backcountry Film Festival + Social Hour
​January 25th - March 20th, 2025  ||  Jackrabbit Rally!  Donate - Ski* - Share - and Bask in the joy of awesome trails shared with incredible people in celebration of the 39th year of the Jackrabbit Trail. *Or snowshoe, run, dog walk, etc.; get out there by any means that suits you.
