May 10th, 2025 || BETA's ANNUAL MEETING, 5pm-8pm. Yes, it's back! After a hiatus that started around the beginning of the pandemic, we are so excited to bring back a night of celebrating the wins and progress of 2024, hearing from our membership on what matters to you moving forward, and gearing up for trail season.
May 24th, 2025 || First ever Summergrass Music Festival which is a fundraiser for BETA. Bike in, bike out to Traverse Lodge on the outskirts of Saranac Lake and enjoy a night of free live music and good company. Be prepared: the Rail Trail is closed for construction between Dorchester Rd and Aldi until early June. May 31st, 2025 || First Annual ADK Outdoor Expo hosted by The Station and Silver Birch Cycles in Onchiota. Find more info on their website. June 7th, 2025 || Celebration at East Branch Community Trails. Big things are happening in Keene and we're excited to invite everyone who loves these trails to celebrate that progress and our plans for the future. Bonfire: likely. Food: probably. Music: yes. Biking: absolutely. June 8th, 2025 || Whiteface 50/100K mountain bike race. This is hosted by the Adirondack Sports Council. July 9th, 2025 || 1000 Animals Ride. Take a tour through winding trails and twisted history in and around Lake Placid, ending the evening with a sizzling smoked BBQ dinner. Stay tuned for details. August 2nd, 2025 || Dewey Dubs. First of its kind, Dewey Dubs celebrates music, bikes, and community at Dewey Mountain in Saranac Lake. The lineup features primarily electronic music with a bit of reggae and folk mixed in. This is a free, family-friendly event. August 29th - 31st, 2025 || BETA's 8th-Annual Wilmington Mountain Bike Festival in the heart of the Adirondacks. Group rides, live music, good food, and great times. This weekend has group rides for everyone, whether you're a strider-riding kid just getting started, a seasoned biker with a hunger for challenge, or a mellow outdoor enthusiast looking for company and suggestions on a laid back loop. Skills clinics, kids races, grueling epics, and casual jaunts are all on the menu, all led by locals who love these trails. Wind down or amp up after a day of riding with local bands, brews, and buddies. Oh, and don't forget the Dangertown Bonfire, our biggest blaze of the year. Get a weekend of biking, camping, and celebrating all while supporting BETA and the work we do to build, maintain, and advocate for biking and ski touring trails of the Eastern High Peaks. October 3rd-5th, 2025 || UCI World Cup returns to Mt. Van Hoevenberg, Lake Placid. This is a DO. NOT. MISS. EVENT for mountain bike enthusiasts. Stay tuned for more information regarding the races, the region, and the rides as the weekend approaches. BETA will bring you additional community events this weekend; we're already dreaming up possibilities.

Make sure you're signed up for our emails so you never miss another event. April 5th, 2025 || Trivia Night in Saranac Lake, 6pm-8pm. Put your team together and flex your BETA knowledge related to skiing, biking, our trails, and the people who have been trail blazers in the area. Don't know much about BETA? Can't wait to hear your best guesses. Please RSVP so we know how many tables to set up. March 22nd, 2025 || Social at Solace Cycles' new shop in Elizabethtown. Catch up with friends and check out the new space, including what will one day be a cidery and communal working space. March 8th, 2025 || Social at Monday-Tuesday Grill, 6pm-9pm. Come chat about the JRR, your latest gear purchase, your next adventure...the list goes on. Light food provided. March 1st, 2025 || Saranac Lake 3P -- pedal, paddle, and pole. An annual race hosted by SL 3P. BETA will be holding down the fort in the vendor village -- please stop by our table to say hello! February 23rd, 2025 || Lake Placid Loppet, a race hosted by ORDA at Mt. Van Hoevenberg. February 15th, 2025 || Key Swap Ski through Avalanche Pass -- an intermediate trip for the backcountry skiers among us. Brace for stunning views over frozen Avalanche Lake. February 7th - 9th, 2025 || The Mountaineer's annual Mountainfest January 25th, 2025 || Backcountry Film Festival + Social Hour January 25th - March 20th, 2025 || Jackrabbit Rally! Donate - Ski* - Share - and Bask in the joy of awesome trails shared with incredible people in celebration of the 39th year of the Jackrabbit Trail. *Or snowshoe, run, dog walk, etc.; get out there by any means that suits you. |
