For Phase 2, BETA and the Keene Youth Commission with Peduzzi Trail Contracting will expand on the success of the multi-use trails built in Phase 1 with construction of a new 3/4 mile, machine-built, mountain bike specific trail designed with youth and novice riders, but fun for anyone on two wheels.
We have already secured a $3500 grant from Cloudsplitter Foundation and over $7,000 in grassroots donations from business sponsors and community members. In February, the Town of Keene made a $10,000 investment toward Phase 2 from its Community Enhancement Fund. Commonly known as the "bed tax", this funding is generated from occupancy taxes collected by lodging establishments in Essex County and is intended for community-level quality of life improvements.
Help us close our $18,000 fundraising gap today! Every dollar helps to get us closer to our goal.
