Weekend 11/15-16 looks good - at least for this early

It has continued cold with intermittent snow, so there is definitely skiing for this weekend. Best bet is still the Whiteface Highway where there is snow starting at the Toll House and a foot or so at the summit. Some windblown areas likely on the exposed turns, but still skiable. See photo for conditions on the first mile of the Highway as of Wednesday.
Golf courses are covered but still marginal. The ground under the snow is still a bit warmer, so sticking is likely to be a problem. Glide wax recommended.
Also, a report of 3-4"  on the Hayes Brook Truck Trail in Paul Smiths. Again, marginal but skiable. 
​And next week so far does not seem to warm up, so maybe, just maybe, we're in for a longer than usual season.
