celebrate the power & spirit of humans in winter.On Saturday, Jan. 25th, BETA is hosting a happy hour followed by a screening of the 20th annual Backcountry Film Festival presented by The Devlin Inn & Suites. Connect with friends and neighbors, enjoy some local brews and finger foods, and sit back for a movie night that will keep you hooked.
The film lineup features winter activities like ice climbing, skiing, paddling, and mushing. Topics range from avalanches to beauty, climate change to heritage, all on the backdrop of the joyous, lionhearted human spirit. Tickets are on sale now, $10 for adults and free for kids 16 and under. Tickets will be on sale at the door while they last. Schedule for the evening:
5:30 - Doors open; join us at the North Country School WallyPAC for a social hour complete with snacks and drinks. 6:30 - First half of the Film Fest. 7:45 - Intermission -- stretch your legs and learn a bit about some of the local nonprofits that support winter recreation, including ADK Avy, Adirondack Powder Skier Association, and Adirondack Mountain Club. 8:00 - Second half of the Film Fest. 9:15 - Films conclude -- have an excellent night and get home safe! |
